Vietcombank partners with the General Department of Taxation to support digital transformation for household businesses

Vietcombank and the General Department of Taxation under the Ministry of Finance on June 3 signed a cooperation agreement to support the digital transformation of household businesses with an aim to promote electronic tax payments and cashless transactions.

The initiative is one of the key activities marking Digital Finance Day 2026 and supporting the implementation of Government Decree No. 68/2026/NĐ-CP.

Under the partnership, Vietcombank will work closely with the General Department of Taxation to raise awareness, provide guidance and deliver digital banking solutions that help household businesses manage accounts dedicated to business operations, connect with e-tax filing and payment platforms, and gradually adopt more transparent financial management practices.

Speaking at the signing ceremony, Lê Quang Vinh, Member of Vietcombank’s Board of Directors and Chief Executive Officer, reaffirmed the bank’s commitment to leveraging its technological capabilities, product ecosystem and workforce to support the tax sector in expanding cashless payments, enhancing voluntary tax compliance, and fostering a more transparent, modern and professional business environment.

Mai Sơn, Deputy Director General of the General Department of Taxation, highly appreciated Vietcombank’s cooperation in helping household businesses gain access to digital tools for cash flow management, cashless transactions, and electronic tax declaration and payment.

A highlight of the event was the official signing ceremony between the Tax Department and Vietcombank under the theme “Supporting Household Businesses on Their Digital Transformation Journey.”

Đoàn Hồng Nhung, Member of Vietcombank’s Executive Board and Head of Retail Banking, said the bank aims to do more than simply provide tools for receiving payments, managing cash flows and paying taxes.

“Through our preferential policies and digital solutions, we hope to help household businesses expand revenue opportunities, build transparent business data and gain access to modern, secure financial services,” she said.

At the event, Vietcombank introduced a comprehensive suite of solutions tailored to household businesses at different stages of development, under the message “Choose once, use for life.”

The solution package is designed around the practical business journey of a household enterprise - from opening a store and digitising cash flows to expanding sales channels and securing financing for future growth.

Alongside the signing ceremony, Vietcombank also announced two promotional programmes running from June 5 to August 31, 2026, with a total prize pool worth VNĐ2.4 billion (approximately US$92,000).

The programmes are designed to strengthen both sides of the bank’s payment ecosystem. Merchants are encouraged to increase transaction volumes, while individual customers are incentivised to use the VCB Digibank application and QR-code payments in their daily transactions.
