On June 5, 2025, the People’s Committee of Thanh Hoa Province, in coordination with the State Bank of Vietnam’s Region 7 Branch, held a conference titled “Unlocking Bank Capital for Business – Driving Local Economic Growth.”
In Thanh Hoa Province, Vietcombank currently operates 3 branches and 10 transaction offices, with over 300 staff members serving more than 330,000 customers. Outstanding loans in the province total nearly VND21.5 trillion, accounting for 1.4% of Vietcombank’s total loan portfolio, while local deposits have reached VND16.6 trillion, or 1% of the bank’s total funding. Vietcombank has set a high credit growth target of 18% in Thanh Hoa Province for 2025, demonstrating the bank’s strong commitment to supporting the province’s economic development.

To realise this goal, Vietcombank is implementing a range of co-ordinated initiatives:
- Vietcombank continues to prioritise capital for sectors such as energy, infrastructure, manufacturing, and other key industries in line with the Government’s growth priorities.
- The bank actively supports loan packages directed by the State Bank of Vietnam, including financing for developers and homebuyers of social housing, as well as home loans for young buyers under 35.
- Vietcombank is accelerating the simplification of administrative procedures and expanding digital banking products and services.
- The bank is promoting green and sustainable finance while strengthening its social responsibility. In 2025, Vietcombank will expand social welfare initiatives, including digital payment integration at Thanh Hoa Children's Hospital and Thanh Hoa General Hospital. It also plans to issue green bonds and launch green credit packages for qualifying sustainable projects.
Since 2024, Vietcombank has allocated nearly VND300 billion to social welfare programs in Thanh Hoa (VND199 billion in 2024 and a committed VND96 billion for 2025). At the conference, Vietcombank proudly presented a VND15 billion social welfare package to support the construction of homes for low-income households, policy beneficiaries, and community solidarity housing in the province.

In recognition of its contributions, the Thanh Hoa People’s Committee awarded certificates of merit to Vietcombank and its Thanh Hoa Branch for their active participation in the national campaign “Joining Hands to Eliminate Makeshift and Dilapidated Housing” and their dedication to social welfare efforts in the province.
