The four new bridges—funded through the efforts of the Department of Internal Political Security and sponsored by Vietcombank—will have a total investment of approximately VND13.8 billion, with Vietcombank contributing VND10 billion. These bridges are expected to significantly improve rural transportation infrastructure, contributing to local socio-economic development and helping districts meet the national criteria for new rural areas.
During the event, the Department of Internal Political Security and Vietcombank also distributed 200 gift packages, each worth VND 500,000, including cash and essential goods, to policy families and people in need across four communes.
Mr. Le Hoang Tung, Deputy General Director of Vietcombank delivered a speech at the ceremony
Speaking at the ceremony, Mr. Le Hoang Tung, Deputy General Director of Vietcombank, shared heartfelt remarks on behalf of the bank’s leadership. He expressed his deep appreciation for the opportunity to give back to the people of Ben Tre—a land known for its heroic legacy and as the cradle of the Dong Khoi revolutionary movement.
He highlighted Vietcombank’s proud history, as the only bank involved in the legendary "money transfer route" that supported the 1975 Spring Victory. As a leading and pioneering financial institution, Vietcombank continues to play a key role in national development while also affirming its position on the international stage.
In addition to its core banking activities, which are safe, efficient, and contribute significantly to the state budget, Vietcombank remains deeply committed to social responsibility. In 2024 alone, the bank pledged VND861 billion and disbursed VND571 billion toward social welfare programs across the country. In Ben Tre Province alone, over the past five years, Vietcombank has allocated VND18.5 billion for social initiatives—excluding the latest sponsorship for the four bridges.
