Vietcombank updates VCB Digibank to facilitate donations for Storm No. 3 and flood victims

Vietcombank has recently updated VCB Digibank with a new feature to enable users to transfer money in support of compatriots affected by Storm No. 3 and the recent floods. This update simplifies the process of selecting organizations, units, and funds at both central and local levels, allowing for quick and easy donations.

Since September 6, 2024, Storm No. 3 and the resulting floods have caused significant damage to people and property, disrupting daily life and business activities in northern provinces and cities, including Quang Ninh, Hai Phong, Hai Duong, Hanoi, Hoa Binh, Bac Giang, Cao Bang, Yen Bai, Lai Chau, and Son La etc.

To help alleviate these difficulties, Vietcombank has swiftly coordinated with central and local organizations, such as the Fatherland Front, Red Cross, and various support funds, to open accounts and upload their information to VCB Digibank. This allows people across the country to make donations 24/7 with just a few simple steps, ensuring that their contributions reach the intended support accounts efficiently.

To make a donation and support those in need, customers can follow these simple steps:

  • Log in to VCB Digibank.
  • Choose the "Charity Transfer" feature or enter "Charity Transfer" in the search bar.
  • Select the "Fund/Charitable Organization" you wish to support.
  • Review the details and complete the transaction.

In addition to updating the "Charity Money Transfer" feature on VCB Digibank, Vietcombank will soon introduce a list of Organizations/Units/Funds in the VCB Rewards program. This new feature will allow customers to convert their accumulated loyalty points into monetary donations to support those in need. Furthermore, Vietcombank plans to roll out the "Charity Money Transfer" feature on VCB DigiBiz, our digital banking platform for SMEs.

By expanding these convenient support channels, Vietcombank aims to provide significant aid to those in affected areas, helping them alleviate difficulties, recover from the damage caused by storms and floods, and restore stability to their lives.

Please note:

Your donations will be directly transferred by Vietcombank to the accounts of organizations, units, and funds at both central and local levels. Vietcombank does not handle or manage the support funds, nor does it participate in their allocation or use.

Additionally, to access this feature, please ensure that you update the VCB Digibank app to the latest version (5.9.1).
