In honor of the 70th anniversary of the Dien Bien Phu victory and the 77th anniversary of War Invalids and Martyrs Day, the Vietcombank Party Committee Executive Board conducted a program focusing on returning to the source and supporting social welfare in Dien Bien Province from August 2 to August 4, 2024.
The working delegation included representatives from the Party Committee of the Central Enterprises Bloc, and the State Bank of Vietnam on the guest side. Representing the Vietcombank Party Committee was Mr. Nguyen Thanh Tung - Party Committee Secretary and Chairman of the Board of Directors, who led the delegation. Other attendees included members of the Standing Committee, the Executive Committee, leaders of advisory agencies supporting the Vietcombank Party Committee, and heads of several departments at headquarter and branches.
Mr Nguyen Thanh Tung, the Party Secretary and Chairman of the Board of Directors, led the delegation in a solemn incense offering to honor the heroic martyrs in Dien Bien.
On August 3, 2024, the Vietcombank Party Committee delegation conducted a poignant incense offering ceremony at the Dien Bien Phu Battlefield Martyrs Temple and A1 National Martyrs Cemetery. The delegation also visited significant historical sites such as A1 Hill, De Castries Bunker, the Dien Bien Phu Victory Museum, and Monument.

Mr. Nguyen Thanh Tung, the Party Committee Secretary and Chairman of the Board of Directors for Vietcombank, signed the memorial book at the exhibition area showcasing a painting reenacting the Dien Bien Phu Campaign on behalf of the Party Committee
The delegation also toured the historic A1 Hill relic site
On the evening of August 3, 2024, the Vietcombank Party Committee orchestrated a gathering and social welfare exchange program with members of the Dien Bien Provincial Party Committee.
Throughout the years, Vietcombank has been deeply engaged in assisting Dien Bien Province with initiatives like replacing dilapidated and makeshift housing, expressing gratitude, and aiding underprivileged families in need of policy support.
Mr. Nguyen Manh Hung, a Member of the Standing Committee of the Party Committee and the Board of Directors (6th from the left), presented a symbolic plaque worth VND5 billion from Vietcombank to support social welfare activities in Dien BienPprovince.
On August 4, 2024, the delegation explored the Muong Phang relic site, home to the Dien Bien Phu Campaign Command Headquarters, and paid visits to the command hut of General Vo Nguyen Giap, along with various significant historical artifacts.
