Which transactions on VCB Digibank are exempt from mandatory biometric authentication?

It's important to note that not all online transactions require mandatory biometric authentication on VCB Digibank. Specifically, there are several types of basic transactions that cater to the daily essential needs of the majority of individuals. These include domestic money transfers, e-wallet top-ups with a value of less than VND10 million (or a total daily transaction value of less than VND20 million), payments for utilities such as electricity, water, telecommunications, tuition fees, hospital fees, etc., as long as the total daily transaction value remains below VND100 million. For these transactions, customers can continue to perform them on VCB Digibank just as they did before July 1, 2024.

To ensure minimal disruption to your work and daily life, if you don't need to carry out online transactions that fall within the scope of mandatory biometric authentication as mentioned above, you can still proactively update your biometric information directly on the VCB Digibank app without the need to visit a Vietcombank transaction counter. It is advisable to stay informed and keep yourself updated on any changes regarding biometric authentication requirements.
