Starting from November 15, 2023, Vietcombank requires customers to transition from using magnetic stripe cards to chip cards on VCB Digibank.
Aligned with the State Bank of Vietnam's policy and regulations of international card organizations, in order to enhance the safety, security of transactions, and optimize the utility of card products, Vietcombank encourages Vietcombank cardholders to convert their magnetic stripe cards to chip cards. Particularly, Vietcombank supports customers in this conversion process completely free of charge and provides a quick and convenient online conversion channel on VCB DigiBank.
On December 5, 2022, Vietcombank launched a HomePopup requesting customers to use domestic debit cards with technology from within the VCB Digibank application. Starting from November 15, 2023, Vietcombank continues to implement the requirement for customers using international debit cards that have not yet been converted to chip technology to carry out the conversion on VCB Digibank. A notification will be displayed for customers to confirm before conducting any other transactions on the VCB Digibank application.
We kindly ask customers to convert promptly to avoid maintenance fees for magnetic stripe cards and to have a better service experience.
