On May 19, 2026, marking the 136th birth anniversary of President Ho Chi Minh (May 19, 1890 – May 19, 2026), the Vietnam General Confederation of Labour held a conference in Hanoi to review five years of implementing Conclusion No 01-KL/TW of the Politburo and honour exemplary individuals and organisations for studying and following Ho Chi Minh’s ideology, morality and lifestyle.

At the event, the Executive Committee of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labour awarded certificates of merit to 43 organisations and 88 individuals for outstanding achievements in the movement “Studying and following Ho Chi Minh’s ideology, morality and lifestyle.” Among those honoured was Le Quang Vinh, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee, member of the Board of Directors and Chief Executive Officer of Vietcombank, who was the only representative from the banking sector to receive the recognition.

Being honoured on President Ho Chi Minh’s birthday further underscored the significance of the recognition, highlighting Vietcombank’s sustained efforts to foster a culture of responsibility, dedication and human-centred values across the organisation. The recognition also reflected Le Quang Vinh’s pioneering role, strong sense of responsibility and outstanding contributions to leadership and management.

Under his direction, the study and practice of Ho Chi Minh’s ideology, morality and lifestyle have been closely linked with modern corporate governance, helping cultivate a culture of innovation, discipline and sustainable development at Vietcombank. Under the collective leadership of the bank’s management team, Vietcombank has in recent years continued to reinforce its position as one of Vietnam’s leading banks, maintaining top-tier operational efficiency while taking the lead in digital transformation, green banking and sustainable finance initiatives.

Alongside its business activities, the movement to study and follow President Ho Chi Minh’s teachings has been widely implemented throughout the Vietcombank system, closely associated with corporate culture building, professional ethics, employee responsibility and customer service quality. These efforts have also helped Vietcombank secure the title of “Outstanding Enterprise for Employees” for five consecutive years, an award recognising companies with exemplary employee welfare policies and sustainable working environments.
