Vietcombank and MobiFone have officially signed a comprehensive strategic cooperation agreement, marking a shift from service-based collaboration to a fully integrated digital ecosystem.
From long-standing partnership to digital ecosystem
The agreement builds on more than two decades of cooperation between the two sides. This new phase not only expands the scale of collaboration but also elevates the partnership into a deeper, long-term strategic alliance.

Under the deal, the two organisations will focus on four key pillars: developing financial services integrated with telecommunications platforms; expanding mobile-based digital payments; leveraging data and customer ecosystems; and building integrated solutions for corporate clients.
A Vietcombank representative said that in a world where financial services are no longer standalone, integration with telecom infrastructure and data will help bring banking services closer to customers’ everyday needs. “This partnership marks an important step for Vietcombank in building a seamless digital ecosystem on a unified platform,” the representative noted.

A representative from MobiFone added: “If telecommunications infrastructure is the connective tissue, finance is the flow of value. Our collaboration with Vietcombank enables us to expand service offerings and deliver more comprehensive digital experiences where technology, data and finance converge.”

Aligning strengths with national digital transformation
The strategic partnership comes as Vietnam accelerates its national digital transformation agenda, with increasing emphasis from the Government on cross-sector connectivity and integration.
Both Vietcombank and MobiFone bring strong foundational advantages to the partnership. By the end of 2025, Vietcombank’s total assets exceeded VNĐ2.42 quadrillion, with outstanding loans surpassing VNĐ1.66 quadrillion. The bank has also made notable strides in digital transformation, including integration with the VNeID platform, digital signature services on Digibank, and the development of VCB Tablet - recognised as the only Vietnamese banking product to win a Gold Award at the ASEAN Digital Awards.

Meanwhile, MobiFone has been actively transitioning from a traditional telecom operator into a digital services and technology enterprise, leveraging its extensive connectivity infrastructure and large customer base.
By combining these strengths, the partnership aims to create value beyond individual services, forming an interconnected digital ecosystem capable of serving both retail and corporate customers.
