Vietcombank continues as Diamond Sponsor of Việt Nam Card Day 2025

On September 26, 2025, Tiền Phong Newspaper and NAPAS, in coordination with the Payment Department of the State Bank of Vietnam (SBV), held a press conference to announce the fifth Việt Nam Card Day. This annual event, themed “One Touch – Millions of Trusts” for 2025, aims to promote modern, safe and convenient payment methods.

Speaking at the press briefing, Đoàn Hồng Nhung, Member of the Board of Management and Director of Vietcombank’s Retail Banking Division, said the bank was honoured to continue as the Diamond Sponsor of Việt Nam Card Day.

In the digital era, we continue to invest in research and development of a digital payment ecosystem, applying the most advanced technologies such as EMV chip cards, contactless cards, virtual cards, tokenisation, mobile payment applications, online customer identification (eKYC), Smart POS and mPOS solutions. Vietcombank has fully digitalised the card issuance and usage journey, delivering a seamless ‘one-touch’ payment experience that is safe, secure and perfectly aligned with the message of Việt Nam Card Day 2025,” she said.

At the conference, Nhung also shared that Vietcombank’s digital banking platform for individual customers, VCB Digibank, now serves more than 17 million active users, with over 90 per cent of transactions conducted entirely online.

“Vietcombank has consistently implemented three groups of solutions,” Nhung said. “First, applying multi-layered technologies with the most advanced authentication and security measures; second, strictly complying with regulatory requirements while proactively adopting additional risk-prevention measures; and third, regularly updating customers on new fraud and scam tactics while guiding them to use modern payment methods in the safest way possible,” she said.

Responding to questions from the press on digital payment solutions, Nhung said that in the third quarter of 2025, Vietcombank launched the VCB DigiShop solution package. This provides business customers with modern cashless payment acceptance tools, integrated sales management software, e-invoicing and online tax declaration and payment features.

“We are also working independently and with partners to develop a risk classification system to provide transparent and safe credit solutions for individual customers and small and medium-sized enterprises,” she noted.
