On September 5, 2025, Vietcombank, in cooperation with the Vietnam Children’s Protection Fund, awarded 8,000 “Cùng em tiến bước” (Step Forward with You) scholarships worth a total of VNĐ8 billion at 685 transaction points across 34 provinces and cities.

The scholarships not only provide vital support to disadvantaged students for the 2025–2026 academic year but also spread a spirit of sharing and companionship with the country’s future generations. This meaningful initiative was a highlight of the nationwide walking program “Cùng Việt Nam tiến bước – 1 tỷ bước chân tiến vào kỷ nguyên mới,” (Step Forward with You - One Billion Steps into a New Era) co-organized by Nhân Dân newspaper and the Ministry of Public Security. Vietcombank participated as the sole representative of the banking sector, turning every step into an act of compassion and solidarity.

On August 16, 2025, more than 20,000 Vietcombank employees took part in the walk, donning the red shirts with golden stars to show unity under the theme “Cùng Việt Nam tiến bước.”

Vietcombank also strengthened this spirit of sharing by pledging VNĐ3 billion and encouraging employees and customers to contribute through the VCB Digibank digital banking app to the “Cùng em tiến bước” fund. From August 5 to September 3, 2025, the account received over VNĐ8 billion in donations.

From this fund, 8,000 scholarships were distributed to disadvantaged students in 34 provinces and cities, including those from schools heavily affected by Typhoon No. 5, through Vietcombank’s 685 nationwide branches and transaction offices. The remaining funds will continue to be allocated to students in need throughout the 2025–2026 school year.

“Vietcombank believes that each step taken today contributes to building the dreams of tomorrow, with knowledge as the most enduring foundation for Việt Nam to move into a new era of strength and prosperity,” a Vietcombank representative said.

Also present were Ms. Lê Thị Thu Hà, Standing Vice Chairwoman of Vietcombank’s Trade Union, and Mr. Giang Tuấn Anh, Secretary of the Party Committee and Chairman of the People’s Council of Tân Trào commune, who awarded scholarships to students of Kim Quan Primary School and Tân Trào Secondary School

Meanwhile, Mr. Ngô Đức Bình, Vice Chairman of Vietcombank’s Trade Union, and Mr. Nguyễn Minh Tuấn, Director of Vietcombank’s Tuyên Quang Branch, presented scholarships to students from Trung Yên Secondary School and Kim Quan Secondary School

The ceremony concluded with delegates taking commemorative photos with 80 scholarship recipients from schools in Tân Trào commune
