Vietcombank wins first prize in “The Journey of Innovation – Aspiration to Rise” Competition of the banking sector

Vietcombank has claimed the top prize in the banking sector’s innovation competition, “Hành trình sáng tạo – Khát vọng vươn mình” (The Journey of Innovation – Aspiration to Rise), organised by the Trade Union of the banking sector.

The competition aims to foster a spirit of creativity among trade union members and bank employees, encourage technical improvements, and promote the application of science and technology across the banking industry. It also serves to select outstanding initiatives for the national-level “Creative Labour Festival 2025” hosted by the Vietnam General Confederation of Labour.

Vietcombank stood out in the competition by submitting 40 of the total 115 entries – the highest number among participating institutions.

With a series of breakthrough and innovative solutions, Vietcombank secured nine awards, including two out of three first prizes, two second prizes, two third prizes and three consolation prizes. Among the award-winning units were the Head Office (1 first, 2 second, 1 third and 1 consolation prize), Ho Chi Minh City branch (1 first prize), the Transaction Centre (1 third prize), and Vietcombank Securities (VCBS) (2 consolation prizes).

The two first-prize winning initiatives from Vietcombank will be nominated by the Vietnam Bank Trade Union to represent the sector at the 2025 Creative Labour Festival organised by the Vietnam General Confederation of Labour.

Vietcombank’s winning entries focused on key areas such as digital transformation, customer experience enhancement, process optimisation and risk management. The large number of awards — particularly the top prizes — reflects not only the bank’s leading participation rate but also the high quality of its innovations.

These achievements are a strong source of encouragement and motivation for Vietcombank employees, inspiring bold ideas and a willingness to innovate. The awarded initiatives are expected to be implemented swiftly, delivering clear added value to business operations, enhancing customer service, reducing costs, and boosting productivity.
