On September 21, 2025, in southern province of Vĩnh Long, the Department of Internal Political Security (Ministry of Public Security), in coordination with the People’s Committee of Vĩnh Long Province and Vietcombank, held an inauguration ceremony to open four rural transport bridges in Hưng Nhượng and Tân Hào communes.

Attending the ceremony were former Politburo member and former Prime Minister Nguyễn Tấn Dũng; former Politburo member and former National Assembly Chairwoman Nguyễn Thị Kim Ngân; General Lê Hồng Anh, former Politburo member and former Standing Member of the Party Secretariat; leaders of the Ministry of Public Security, leaders of Vĩnh Long Province, and a large number of local residents.

Representing Vietcombank was Mr. Hồng Quang – Member of the Executive Committee of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labour, Member of the Board of Directors, and Chairman of Vietcombank’s Trade Union.

The four bridges inaugurated include: Giồng Tre Quạ Bridge in Tân Hào Commune; the inter-commune bridge connecting Hưng Nhượng – Tân Hào; the inter-hamlet bridge connecting hamlets 8 and 9 in Hưng Nhượng Commune; and Đình Bridge in Hưng Nhượng Commune. These are key locations, replacing old, degraded bridges that were no longer safe.

Five months earlier, on April 20, 2025, in Giồng Trôm District of the former Bến Tre Province (now Vĩnh Long Province), a groundbreaking ceremony for these four rural transport bridges was held with the participation of the Department of Internal Political Security – Ministry of Public Security and Vietcombank. The total investment for the projects was VNĐ 13.8 billion, of which Vietcombank contributed VNĐ 10 billion.

Speaking at the ceremony, Mr. Hồng Quang emphasized: “These four bridges are not merely transportation works, but ‘bridges of affection,’ connecting the hearts of Vietcombank’s officers and staff with the local people. They will open up convenient routes for travel and trade, promote socio-economic development, and contribute to fulfilling the new rural development criteria of the locality.”

The inauguration of the four bridges in Vĩnh Long further affirms Vietcombank’s commitment to corporate social responsibility, standing side by side with the Government, ministries, and local authorities for a sustainable and prosperous Việt Nam.

At the ceremony, the People’s Committee of Vĩnh Long Province also awarded certificates of merit to collectives and individuals who made positive contributions to socio-economic development in Hưng Nhượng and Tân Hào communes.
