Hanoi, December 27, 2025 – Joint Stock Commercial Bank for Foreign Trade of Vietnam (Vietcombank) and Vietnam Digital Traffic Joint Stock Company (Viettel ePass) announced the expansion of services for corporate customers, enabling businesses to directly link their bank accounts with ePass traffic accounts.
This service supports enterprises in complying with Government Decree No. 119/2024/ND-CP on the conversion of traffic accounts to non-cash payment methods.
Addressing management challenges for corporate customers
Previously, corporate customers often faced difficulties in managing the balance of ETC traffic toll accounts. Expenses paid from drivers’ personal accounts could not be recognized, making it challenging to control cash flows held in individual drivers’ wallets. In addition, enterprises had to allocate additional accounting resources to manage top-ups for a large number of vehicles, leading to increased operating costs.
With the feature that allows direct linking between bank accounts and traffic toll accounts, Vietcombank has effectively “removed” these pain points in ETC road toll payments for businesses:
- No pre-funding required: Traffic toll fees are automatically deducted directly from the enterprise’s payment account at Vietcombank as soon as the vehicle passes through the toll station.
-
Seamless operations: Eliminates the risk of journey interruptions caused by insufficient balance in traffic accounts, helping businesses save time and operating costs.
-
Centralized management: Enterprises can easily monitor and reconcile transaction histories online via the VCB DigiBiz digital banking platform.
-
Compliance with Decree No. 119/2024/ND-CP.
According to announcements from the competent authorities, December 31, 2025 is the deadline by which enterprises are required to convert toll collection accounts into traffic accounts and link them with non-cash payment methods.
The solution that directly links Vietcombank bank accounts with ePass traffic accounts enables corporate customers to complete the conversion quickly, ensure legal compliance, and avoid disruptions when traveling through nationwide ETC toll stations.
