THAI NGUYEN, October 26, 2025 — At the headquarters of the Thai Nguyen Provincial People’s Committee, a delegation from the Central Steering Committee for Science, Technology, Innovation, and Digital Transformation, together with Vietcombank and VNPT Group, visited the province to deliver social welfare support to local residents affected by Typhoon No. 11.
During the visit, Vietcombank contributed VND 1 billion to assist the province in overcoming the aftermath of the storm and floods, while VNPT Group also donated VND 1 billion. In addition, benefactors accompanying the delegation presented 17 gift packages, each worth VND 20 million, to households in Nghinh Tuong and Phu Binh communes that suffered severe losses.

Representing Vietcombank, Mr. Le Quang Vinh, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and General Director (third from right), presented the donation of VND 1 billion to support the people of Thai Nguyen

At the event, Mr. Nguyen Huy Dung, Standing Member of the Central Steering Committee, spoke about the importance of unity, compassion, and the active role of businesses in helping communities recover from natural disasters
Expressing his appreciation, Mr. Dinh Quang Tuyen, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Thai Nguyen Province, said: “The province is in great need of the collective efforts of government agencies, enterprises, and benefactors to share the burden with residents in affected areas. This is the second time Vietcombank has extended its support to Thai Nguyen — a meaningful contribution both materially and spiritually.”
Earlier, on October 15, 2025, a delegation from Vietcombank’s Head Office, led by Mr. Hong Quang, Member of the Board of Directors and Chairman of the Vietcombank Trade Union, promptly arrived in Thai Nguyen shortly after Typhoon No. 11 struck. During a meeting with provincial leaders, the delegation presented VND 1 billion, raised from donations by Vietcombank employees, to help local residents rebuild their lives.
Visiting Thai Nguyen twice within a single month, Vietcombank has not only provided financial assistance but also brought with it a spirit of compassion, hope, and solidarity. Each journey of support reflects the bank’s enduring commitment to community well-being and shared prosperity.
For more than 62 years of growth and development, Vietcombank’s story has been not only about becoming one of Vietnam’s leading banks but also about nurturing a culture of responsibility, empathy, and care. Every act of kindness today plants the seeds of a more sustainable and brighter future — for Thai Nguyen, and for a better Vietnam.
